How your email flows through ZipFwd
This Privacy Policy explains what data is needed for temporary inboxes, long-term forwarding and login verification, and how you can delete emails and manage addresses.
Your account email is used for verification-code login and to receive forwarded emails. You can pause or delete aliases independently.
Delete individual emails or change your address in the inbox. You can view and delete archived forwarding records.
1. Information we process
When you use a temporary email address, we generate an address and access credential, and process the subject, sender, time, body and attachment details of emails sent to it so they can be displayed on the web. The access credential for a temporary address is stored in your browser session so you can refresh the page and view emails during that session.
When you use long-term forwarding, we process the login email address you provide, verification results, aliases you create and email delivery records. If you enable two-step verification, we also need to store the key paired with your authenticator. Never share verification codes or keys with anyone.
2. How we use information
We process email data to receive, display and forward messages and troubleshoot delivery—not to sell email content to third parties. Technical logs needed to operate the service may include request times, network addresses and error statuses to help maintain security and detect abuse.
If you contact support, we use the email address and issue details you provide to respond. Please don’t include passwords, full verification codes or other unnecessary sensitive information in support emails.
3. Retention periods and limits
Temporary email addresses have an expiry time shown in the interface. After expiry, when you change the address or when you delete an email, the address or message is no longer available in your current inbox. Delivery and cache cleanup may take some time, so don’t treat a temporary inbox as private storage.
| Data type | Purpose | Retention limit |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary addresses and incoming emails | Temporary receiving and reading | Until the address expires or you delete the data |
| Forwarded email records | Check delivery and review message content | The dashboard shows records from the last 30 days |
| Account email and aliases | Login and long-term delivery | While the account and aliases remain in use |
| Support correspondence | Respond to questions and track their resolution | For as long as reasonably needed to handle your request |
The 30 days of records shown in the dashboard do not represent a single retention period for all system logs. Legal obligations, security investigations and backup cleanup may require different periods. Contact us if you have a question about a specific request.
4. Data sharing and security
To deliver emails to the address you specify, service providers involved in email transmission may process the routing data needed for delivery. We don’t build advertising profiles from email content. If disclosure is legally required, we review the request under applicable law.
We use access controls and transmission safeguards, but no internet email system can guarantee complete confidentiality. Don’t use a temporary inbox for banking credentials, medical information or private data you need to keep long term.
5. Your choices and requests
You can delete temporary emails, change your current address, pause or delete individual forwarding aliases, and delete archived records from the dashboard. You can remove session data stored in your browser by logging out or clearing site data.
To learn about, correct or request deletion of information associated with your account, email us from your account email address at support@zipfwd.com. We may need to verify your identity to prevent unauthorised access or deletion.
6. Policy updates and contact
We’ll update this page and its effective date if there are significant changes to product features, legal requirements or how we process data. Check the latest version regularly before continuing to use the service.
